Rippl works with organisations across the world to help companies achieve high levels of staff retention and engagement whilst providing reward and recognition, employee savings, and benefits in almost every aspect of their everyday life.
Cycle to Work
Cycle to Work is part of a government initiative that encourages more people to commute by bike, enabling people to make healthier choices and reduce the UK’s carbon footprint. This scheme is run via salary sacrifice, allowing employees to make savings of up to 47% on the cost of a new bike and accessories.
Since the Cycle to Work scheme guidance was updated in June 2019, employers can now set their scheme limits as there is no longer a restriction of £1,000. Employees can choose from a wider selection of bikes, electric bikes, and safety accessories to suit their needs.
Our provider of choice is Halfords. With over 450 stores nationwide and over 1,000 affiliated independent local bike shops, your employees will be spoilt for choice. All types of bikes are available including road, touring, hybrid, mountain, leisure, electric foldaway, classic, adaptive, and cyclocross.
Scheme members will also benefit from:
Halfords Lifetime Cycle Guarantee (T&C apply)
Free build 6-week safety check
Free lifetime safety checks on scheme bikes
15% discount on Halfords Advanced & Core bike locks to keep employee’s bikes safe
8-week free insurance (20% discount on a 12-month contract)
Rippl offers the car scheme from Tusker, which is a clever way to offer your employees a brand-new car for a fixed monthly amount. It’s an all-inclusive package, complete with insurance, road tax, servicing and maintenance, breakdown cover, accident management, and tyres.
The scheme is simple – employees offset part of their salary to enjoy the benefit of a new car, without the need for a deposit or ongoing running costs. As a salary sacrifice scheme, employees can also take advantage of income tax and National Insurance savings.
Benefits in Kind tax for an electric vehicle for 2022/2023 can be as low as 2% and incur 0% road tax. There are currently 15 cities charging congestion zones with an average charge of £15 per day. Those who choose an electric car won’t be required to pay these charges, potentially saving a car owner up to £3,960 per year on congestion charges alone.
The car scheme costs the employer nothing to set up and run. It includes excellent risk protection to safeguard the employer against the cost of employees going on sick leave, maternity leave, resigning, or being made redundant.
Financial Wellbeing & Support
In an era of economic uncertainty, more employees are facing financial difficulties. The end result is that many hard-working professionals are battling to pay bills and rent, which can seriously affect mental health and overall productivity. To combat these challenges, Rippl’s financial support partners offer a large array of services from financial wellbeing planning apps, salary advance products, low-cost loans, and savings products.
How can you identify the signs of somebody suffering from financial difficulties? They are likely to be experiencing absenteeism, insomnia, agitation/irritability, a drop in productivity, difficulty concentrating, and anxiety/depression.
By offering your employees more financial support, employers will likely see better staff retention, more engaged employees, and a reduction in the number of days missed due to ill health.
This means happier staff with fewer concerns over how they are going to make ends meet every month. For some employees, this benefit can make a huge difference to the overall quality of their financial health and in turn, their physical and mental health.
With the average waiting time for a routine GP appointment sitting around 19 days according to NHS England, many employees can struggle to see a health professional when they need it. This has an impact on your organisation’s absenteeism, your employees’ physical and mental health, and their levels of productivity.
Our GP Helpline partner provides access to a 24/7 qualified doctor telephone consultation. A video consultation is also available Monday – Friday from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, enabling your employees to get help sooner than with their own local GP.
What does the GP Helpline offer?
Professional advice considering personal medical history
Family support – the helpline can be used by all household members (aged 16+)
Employee Assistance Programme
The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provides an early source of practical and emotional support for employees facing issues in their home or work life before they begin to impact their performance at work.
Our EAP partner provides advice on legal, medical, health, and wellbeing issues, as well as offering a counselling service and information on finance, including a debt advice service.
The EAP is also designed to offer support within the workplace by providing instant access to professional management support resources, and by offering support and guidance to individuals when dealing with people management issues.
Our EAP can also help to tackle sickness absence and presenteeism rates, by proving counselling support that helps employees identify the root causes. We can provide regular management information that shows the volume of calls and the category types, which allows you to focus on fixing them from a company-wide perspective.
