We’re counting down the days to REBA’s 2025 Future Forum, and we couldn’t be more excited to take part in shaping the conversation around the future of employee rewards and benefits.

As pressure grows for businesses to rethink how they engage their people in today’s modern workplace, the future landscape demands more inclusive, digital-first approaches to rewards and benefits – particularly for customer-facing or remote teams in majority deskless and decentralised workforces. And, we’re proud to have Rippl lead the change behind this. 2025 has already been an incredibly exciting year for us, and we’re looking forward to discussing latest market intel with industry leaders and changemakers in the room.

But to mark the 1-week countdown, we asked our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Sam, some quick-fire questions around what attendees can expect to see from Rippl’s debut at REBA’s Future Forum this year, and her predictions for what the future holds for employee rewards and benefits as businesses plan their strategies for 2026 and beyond.

What are the biggest market trends you're currently seeing emerge?

One of the biggest trends only getting bigger ahead of 2026 is the growing need to make benefits truly mobile. So many fantastic schemes go underutilised – especially by deskless or frontline workers – simply because they’re not designed with mobile-first access in mind. But, when 80% of our global workforce doesn’t operate behind a desk, it’s time to think outside of traditional intranets and SharePoints and make benefits truly inclusive and accessible to every colleague, whilst delivering measurable return for every business.

Financial wellbeing initiatives are also becoming ever-more centre stage, demand soaring for benefits that help employees stretch their salary further. From everyday savings and discounted supermarket shops to salary sacrifice schemes, teams seek practical and immediate support with the offsetting the rising cost of living.

Finally, a noticeable market shift is moving towards more personalised strategies. Employees want more choice and flexibility in how they’re recognised and rewarded, whether that’s through annual incentives and award schemes, peer-led recognition, or pick-your-own rewards. The days of one-size-fits-all approaches are firmly behind us, creating opportunity for employers to create more human, relevant and responsive reward cultures.

What 3 actions can Rewards and Benefits leaders take to build future-looking strategies?

  1. Keep things personalised: To truly deliver a future-proof strategy, this must first be based on understanding what employees really need. Prioritise regular feedback loops and temperature checks to assess what’s working well, and if there are any gaps.
  2. Keep financial perks front and centre: make practical financial savings and schemes accessible for employees to take advantage of in making their pay go further.
  3. Keep things inclusive: Ensure all employee groups – regardless of where they are based – can access their rewards and benefits, and that these remain tailored to the diverse needs across all colleague demographics.

'B-Hive'

Betfred needed to scale their existing UK reward platform to global teams, enhance their benefits offer and introduce mobile engagement for their frontline teams worldwide.
