HGS UK & Rippl are Finalists in the 2025 UK Employee Experience Awards!

The kind of news we love to share. We’re delighted to have been named a Finalist in this year’s UK Employee Experience Awards, alongside our brilliant partner HGS UK in not one, but two award categories:

  • Best Reward & Recognition
  • Team of the Year

Since 2014, the UK Employee Experience Awards  (UKEXA™) has been honouring businesses who are going the extra mile to deliver outstanding initiatives in bettering workplace engagement for all to not only drive business growth but also elevate organisations to attract new talent and empower current employees.

This year’s award categories cover all aspects of employee experience:

  • Empower & Reward: Celebrating initiatives that enhance employee engagement, wellbeing, and recognition.
  • Top Workplaces: Highlighting the best employers and the companies that make a difference in recruitment, training, and employee development.
  • Leadership & Teamwork: Honouring exceptional individuals and teams who consistently go above and beyond, demonstrating outstanding leadership and collaboration.

Rippl & HGS UK

Part of the multi-billion-dollar conglomerate Hinduja Group, HGS is a global leader in optimizing the customer experience lifecycle, digital transformation, BPM and digital media ecosystem. With over 18,000 employees worldwide, HGS’ core BPM business combines automation, analytics, and AI with deep domain expertise, focusing on digital customer experiences, back-office processing, contact centres, and HRO solutions. HGS’ digital media business, NXTDIGITAL, is India’s premier integrated Digital Delivery Platforms Company delivering services via satellite, digital cable, and broadband.

Behind HGS UK are 750 colleagues, a majority operating in a remote and hybrid call centre model. Without the organic interactions of a traditional office environment, they needed to improve employee engagement through championing visible recognition and enabling meaningful connection.

Instilling a culture of appreciation has been a long-established People Pillar of HGS’ engagement strategy, with reward and recognition delivered through a previous provider to their UK teams. However, the programme under-delivered in its colleague impact and cost-efficiency. As the platform approached renewal, HGS UK re-examined their offer and how they could better maximise the power of reward and recognition moving forward.

In addition, HGS prioritise a consistent and multi-layered approach to feedback at the heart of their workplace culture. Results from their 2024 People Survey alongside qualitative, deep-dive colleague listening sessions informed five key People Priorities. Appreciation & Recognition, Health & Wellbeing, and Cost of Living Support emerged as top themes, shaping a renewed engagement approach grounded in meaningfully acting on colleague insights.

So, in April 2024, HGS partnered with Rippl to design and deliver a brand-new, all-in-one programme that encompassed just this. The ‘Ignite’ programme was born to reflect their unique business, brand and values, bring their 5 Pillar Recognition Strategy to life and streamline this alongside rewards, benefits and wider features under one roof to improve engagement across their business.

Since its launch in August 2024, Ignite actively engages 85% of HGS UK colleagues, delivering impressive results aligned to both their People and Commercial objectives. Ignite began and continues to evolve with amplifying colleague voices, delivering an exceptional reward and recognition experience that connects, empowers and motivates HGS’ brilliant UK workforce.

“To be named as Finalist alongside the wonderful team at HGS UK across two categories is an incredible achievement and testament to the impact our partnership has already delivered. At Rippl, we pride ourselves on collaborating with businesses who share our vision for empowering every employee to thrive, and this is a true reflection of the aligned commitment between Rippl and HGS to create an exceptional workplace experience. Huge thanks to the UK Employee Experience Awards for this recognition, and to our brilliant HGS and Rippl team for delivering the success of Ignite to date. Congratulations to all other Finalists – we look forward to celebrating with you in September!” – Sam Harris, Chief Marketing Officer, Rippl
